TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Mission Soccer Club’s 2012 Steve Bonnett Memorial Tournament will take place March 23-25, 2012.  A fun way for U11 through U18 teams to wrap up the season (or kick it off if you're outside the Coast Region)!  Click "Tournaments" at the left.

Juggle-a-thon News

Keepie Uppie Time!

Juggling will improve your game-time ball handling.  No worries about making a mistake; you're training yourself to recover from misses and eventually you'll make fewer and fewer which will translate to fewer on the field!  Maybe one day you'll challenge Dan Magness's record of 26 hours!  Or Danial Jazaeri's marathon run of 42 km without the ball touching the ground!  Want to see what some practise will get you?  Watch Indie Cowie on You Tube - at 15, her juggling and free style skills have taken her to some amazing places!

Pledge envelopes are being distributed to U11 through U18 coaches.  Funds raised are shared between the team for tournament entries or team gear, and the club's scholarship program.

Volunteer News

Many hands make light work!

If you are interested in sharing 2 or 20 hours of your time to ensure that over 500 of Mission's enthusiastic youth can take to the field and learn valuable and transferable team sport attributes such as commitment, communication, and collaboration, along with how to kick a ball, please email info@missionsoccerclub.com.  Let us know your availability, interest and skills and we'll do our best to match you with a task.  Our Tournament Committee is currently forming and there are many small jobs (and a few big ones) involved in putting together this popular event.

Referee Opportunities -

If you are 12 years of age or older and looking for –

·         A quick way to earn some extra money

·         A fun way to keep fit

·         An easy way to better understand the beautiful game

·         A rewarding way to support community youth

Then please email info@missionsoccerclub.com to find out more about becoming a referee.  Following the BC Soccer Referee Development Program, participants are trained locally, mentored and given the opportunity to take on this role of authority at their own pace and to aspire to a level of their own choosing from In-House Mini to International competitions.  You don’t have to be a soccer player to be a referee and adults are welcome as well as youth.
