Welcome to Mission Soccer Club!

Located in the beautiful Fraser Valley one hour's drive from Vancouver BC, the club is home to over 500 players from five to eighteen years of age enjoying the world's most popular sport.

Pre-Season Evaluations

Mission Soccer Club is, for the most part, a recreational club. The majority of our teams are fielded at House or Advanced House levels. So why do players need to be evaluated?

There are a few of reasons. Ensuring our coaches have the right tools to train the players is one. This is an opportunity for Rick, your Technical Director, and his team of evaluators to observe the results of the past season’s coach training and development and plan for areas of focus in the coming season. (So, in a way, the coaches are being evaluated.)

Another reason is team placement in a league. Every division, even House, is tiered (ie developing, moderate, strong) and observing the players in this setting is an important element in deciding at what league placement teams (not individual players) will find the best balance of challenge and success in the coming season.  For teams playing in-house or interlock, evaluations are used as a tool to create evenly skilled teams.

Finally, the club has a few age groups with sufficient players demonstrating the drive and skill to play at a higher competitive level.  At these age groups, some players may be selected to play on a specific team.

All sessions will take place at Heritage Park Secondary.  Please attend both sessions for your age group.

 Youth Awards Night

Thank you to all who attended Youth Awards Night Wednesday April 9 2014 7pm at the Clarke Foundation Theatre at Heritage Park Centre and congratulations to all award recipients!  And thank you to Jim our MC, Erin, Kathleen, Loreene, Stuart and Tony who shared their time to get things set up and kept the evening rolling.  And a very special thank you to SoccerWest for generously providing the fantastic doorprizes.

Coming to a field near you...

Mission Soccer Club is pleased to offer a new program for players born in 2010 and 2011.  This fun introduction to soccer was developed by the Club’s Technical Director and uses basic movements like jumping, twisting and running to develop balance and coordination.  Registration is now open for this program which will begin in July.  Please see the TOTS  program page for more details.

A new time and location for Tim Bits

We’ve taken the game outdoors and put the fun back in!  This program for players born in 2008 and 2009 will start in July and take advantage of warmer weather to let the training happen on a field rather than in a gym.  Registration is now open – please see the Tim Bits program page for more details.

Fall/Winter Registration now open

Registration is now open for players born in 1997 to 2007 for the standard Fall/Winter season.  Please find all the details on the Mini, Super 8 and Youth  program pages.

Spring Soccer

Thank you for the amazing response to Spring Soccer this year!  Many players are now keeping active, and learning or refining their skills through the “off season”.  All teams are at capacity other than boys born 2005 and 2006 – a few more players are needed for each of these age groups.  If you have a player interested, please email info@missionsoccerclub.com.

Happy Volunteer Week!

Mission Soccer Club is very proud to be volunteer run.  Other than our Technical Director, all positions are filled by volunteers - people willing to share their time and energy to ensure Mission's youth have the opportunity to learn the great game of soccer, and through the game, the life-long skills of commitment, team work, goal setting and fair play.  From getting the fields lined, to picking up the mail, to lining up players for team photos, without these wonderful, generous people, Mission Soccer Club simply would not exist.  Thank you to all our coaches, assistant coaches, managers, referees, age group reps, etc - have a Happy Volunteer Week!
